A laundry room shared with a main-floor bathroom has to stay presentable, but detergents, tabs and loose supplies rarely help. Two short projects added containment and personality without waiting for a full room redesign.
Contain the working supplies
An unused plastic tray and a lidded detergent container were cleaned and painted so the everyday laundry pieces could sit together. A defined tray makes the work surface look deliberate and keeps small supplies from drifting across the counter.
Add inexpensive wall art
A small framed mirror and wooden clothespins formed the base for a simple laundry-room sign. The pins were arranged around the frame before gluing so the spacing could be adjusted. Lettering and a restrained aqua-and-yellow palette tied the finished piece to the room.
Neither project changes the room structurally. Together, they make a blank utility area feel cared for while keeping its everyday tools close at hand.
